who we arewhat we do
Staff are trained in the design and implementation of stakeholder consultation exercises.  Recent work carried out in this field includes the following:
  • We are currently working with a local authority to carry out stakeholder consultation with its tenants and leaseholders with respect to the planned introduction of district heating on four estates.
  • For the Government Office of London, Impetus recently managed a mentoring programme on waste recycling for London boroughs. This involved conducting research to identify best practice and designing and running a series of interactive events for boroughs to facilitate the sharing of this best practice.
  • Impetus recently produced an environmental strategy and action plan for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. This covered energy, planning, waste, water and transport as well as environmental management systems. The process involved extensive consultation with officers and the council's corporate management team, through interviews and events.
  • In 2004, we hosted a consensus workshop for EST on how a home energy label could motivate householders to improve their homes and developers to build more energy efficient homes.
